Electric eel

Random Science Fact #34

The electric eel(Electrophorus electricus)
which is actually a knifefish and not an
eel can produce a shock of over 500 volts
and a current of around 1 ampere! This
is enough to kill an adult human by
drowning, interupting breathing,
or heart failure but it is extremely rare.
